One of my favorite scenes in the finale was when Gold gives Emma "Your father's sword". This week I re-watched the Pilot right after watching the finale, and I saw how Gold probably got Charming's sword.
In the pilot, when Charming throws his sword at the Evil Queen at the wedding, she disappears in the smoke cloud and reappears in her castle -- along with Charming's sword! His sword goes into a pillar in her castle.
Now, I think we can all assume she didn't return the sword with a politely written note of apology for crashing the wedding. So, at some point, in making a deal with Rumple/Gold, his price must have been Prince Charming's sword.
I found his line about not making a new deal with Regina, "I won't be making a deal with you, because you no longer have anything that I want." (paraphrasing) very interesting, because it made me think about how he's gotten
everything in the shop. For instance, Aladdin's lamp must have come from a deal with Sidney. (Another story we haven't heard yet!)
You know the bicycle hanging from the ceiling in the shop? I think it probably belonged to the Wicked Witch of the West when she was still in Kansas. Remember when she rode off with Toto in the basket?
Like I've said in earlier posts, Mr. Gold's shop holds a great "deal" of interest for me. I love making the connections. I hope we get to see how Mr. Gold managed to get Capt. Hook's hook. Can't wait for Sunday!
