Fic Rec Thread

With months to go before season two, for die hard fans like me that means ...
fic time!!!

There is quite a bit of fic out there now, but one thing I found lacking is places to find recs so I thought I`d start a thread here.

I was a little leery to post this thread because sometimes these things can become a ugly mess of character bashing, ship bashing and worse people bashing, but I think we are all an easy going group and I really want more recs.

There are some guidelines.

1. Don`t rec your own fic. Another thread can be used for that.
2. This is an all ages site so don`t rec anything explicit, or nc17.
3. Post a link - not the story. Include: title, author paring, warnings. (Cut and pasting the first part of the header is the best way I think) And tell us why you liked it.
4. Please no character bashing, ship bashing, people bashing - just no bashing.

Hopefully we end up with a thread with some really good fics for us to read.

Skeptics and True Believers
Author: rufeepeach
Rating: T
Pairing Emma/Jefferson
Summary: Jefferson discovers that he cannot leave Emma's home: every night, like clockwork, he returns. Gradually, they learn to co-exist.

Why I liked it: Well written with a interesting premise. A nice mid sized fic, divided into 7 chapters, but I easily read them in one sitting.

Not Quite Made in China

Rating: T
Pairing: Emma Swann/August W Booth , Snow. Charming, Belle/Rumpelstiltskin
Summary: Emma didn't really believe in the curse until it broke. When your world sprouts dragons, and your skin is glowing with magic, and Mr Gold is prancing around in skintight leather, sometimes, the craziest explanation is the only one that make sense.

Why I liked it: Written before we knew who August was, so this would now be AU but still a great story, especially for those who really wished for August to be Bae. A often humorous look at life in FTL after the curse is broken. 16 Chapters, a little over 20000 words

All Was Golden When the Day Met the Night

Rating: G
Pairing:Belle/Rumpelstiltskin
Summary: There’s just her and him and her enchanting smiles and the hem of her dress dusting his shins as they spin and the mirrors. And he wouldn’t have it any other way.

Why I liked it. This is a very short piece ( Only 613 words) but really
beautiful. A quick brief glimpse of of a brief moment in the dark castle.

SUMMARY: When she took off from the hospital, she had no idea where they should go or what they could do, if anything, to stay safe. She had to wonder right along with Henry why, out of everywhere they could have gone, she drove them right to Regina’s house.

Why I liked it: I haven't read many Swan Queen fics but this one is the best one I've seen so far. (If someone has better please let me know) It's a Work in progress
