when August called Gold Papa i swear i could hear every fangirl in the world go squeeeee. then when Gus turned out not to be Bae i knew it could not be that easy. RC rocked that whole episode.

Well once again amazing episode but it seems like for every question answered so many more surface.

I agree RC did an amazing job. As I suspected it was his cowardice that cost him his son. Just like Belle, his son called him a coward right before he lost him. I truly think that his cowardice is the main thing he needs to conquer in order to redeem himself.

I thought they did a really good job of showing his more brutal side and I'm personally glad for it. As much as I loved Skin Deep it was beginning to seem like people were forgetting he is one of the big bads and has done some terrible things, without much guilt at all- so I'm happy that was reinforced. It makes that hope for redemption that much better IMHO. (Plus my girls and I had a good giggle at the "But she can Draw" comment.

But oh the questions!

How the heck does the timeline work?

If the whole reason for the curse was so he could get back to Bae then I'm missing something or Rumpelstiltskin is very bad at math. Rumpelstiltskin is suppose to be hundreds of years old, so how would he think Bae would still be around? And even if time moved differently in one world there was still 28 years that passed when he was in Storybrook so Bae would have to be at least 43. Plus why wouldn't Gold be hunting for his son the entire 28 years?

Who is August talking to on the phone? And what's wrong with him?
I'm betting he's turning into wood but why now?

Anyone else get the vibe the the Blue fairy in the real world knows something?

I gotta admit I'm not that big a fan of Rumples and his stories but RC is a fantastic actor and he did a great job!
I knew August wouldn't be Bae because it was way too obvious Sydney kinda reminded me of a puppy, especially during the last scene when he was "confessing". Glad Emma didn't believe him, he couldn't lie to save his life!!

I think it's obvious that time moves differently in FTL and in our world. And Eion Bailey is 35, so playing a character in his early 40s isn't really a big stretch.
I think Bae landed in our world and he's still out there. Maybe August met him and that's how he knew so much about Rumples.

The Blue Fairy definitely knows something. What, and how much, I don't know. It could just be that she can't stand Gold.

Maybe August is cursed, and arriving in SB set the curse in motion, turning him to wood...

I loved how this episode proved me wrong.
I initially thought August was Rumples son and was excited that August said "Poppa". Just love the entire mind games so to speak and how it gave us that August is not Rumples son

Who I think August called on the phone is Bae.
And August being Pinocchio, to me, makes sense. That bit in the beginning with him struggling and when Rumple went into his room and found that little donkey? Hmmm

If August is Pinocchio and since he mentioned to Rumple that he was not well then lets say that perhaps that him needing Emma to believe is that if magic does not exist, he will go back to being a "wooden boy"

Lol, I am all over the place. I agree that this episode left us with questions but It will all make sense at the end of the season

Yeah, I think that's who August called, too. Maybe August isn't even from FTL, but he met Bae in our world and together they have a plan to destroy the curse. Maybe Bae is mad at Rumples for breaking their deal.

I totally thought August was Bae...just because August being Pinocchio never made any sense to me. Magic made pinocchio a real boy...Storybrooke is magic-less until Emma came along...so where was August hiding until Emma showed up and if he was awaken from his woody state after Emma's arrival why is he reverting back?

Who was August talking to one the phone. If it was Bae as suggested, where is Bae now? How did he meet August?

Questions, questions, questions.

And I keep thinking Emma keeps making one bad move after another. She could've used Sydney to mislead Regina instead of confront him and call him out.

The whole episode I thought Rumpelstiltskin was say 'Boy' in a think Scottish accent, I didn't realize he was calling him 'Bae' until I got on the forum last night.

I wonder if there is any significance to the bell that Henry gave Mary Margaret.

Maybe August call Bae, because he might be 60-70 and he cant goes to storybrooke..maybe he is mr gold grandson or maybe is pinocchio because The fairy tell mr gold august was searching his father (geppeto?) and he found him and said mr gold he need magic to live
